At Bath Christmas Fair
It is our great pleasure to be with you again this year!
Welcome to the Holy Land Handicraft Cooperative Society. We come from the Holy Land from a small town called Beit Sahour (also known as The Shepherds’ Fields – where they learnt of the birth of Jesus), located five minutes away from Bethlehem.
As a cooperative of 36 producers of carved olive wood and mother-of-pearl products, we are able to offer a great variety of the most beautiful local products produced by highly skilled craftsmen in our district.
We can also offer customers the assurance that they are buying certified Fair Trade products. Holy Land Handicraft Cooperative Society was the first organization in the Arab world to join IFAT, the International Fair Trade Association.
As well as selling items made by the Cooperative members, we work with about 70 more workshops of non members, supporting local women’s organizations and disabled groups by marketing their products. Women from Beit Sahour hand make our beautiful embroidery and local groups of disabled people create our lovely Christmas cards.
